VI CLASS REVISION ON OTHER CHAPTERS

Revision on Mensuration
1.     Find the perimeter of the regular pentagon of side 6cm
2.     How many square tiles of side 18 cm will be required to pave the floor of a rectangular room of 5.4 m×4.8 m
3.     .A floor is 5m long and 4m wide .A square carpet of side 3m is laid on the floor .Find the area of the floor that is not carpeted.
4.     A square and a rectangle have equal area.If a side of a square is 24cm and the length of the rectangle is 32cm ,find :
(i)                 The breadth of the rectangle
(ii)               The perimeter of the rectangle
5.     Find the distance travelled by ashu if he takes 7rounds of a square park of side 90m.
6.     Find the cost of the fencing a square park of side 250m at the rate of rs 20 per  meter .

8.       How many tiles whose length and breadth are 12cm and 5cm respectively will be needed to cover a rectangular region whose length and breadth are respectively.   A)70cm  and 36cm      b) 144cm and 1m 

PRACTICAL GEOMETRY
1.Let A,B be the centres of two circles of equal radii, draw  them so that each one of them passes through the centre of the other. Let them intersect at C and D .Examine whether line segment AB and CD are at right angles 
2. Draw a perpendicular bisector of line segment AB whose length is 8.3 cm
(a)Take any point P on the bisector drawn. Examine whether PA=PB.
(b)If M is Midnight of line segment AB, What can you say about the length MA and MY .
3. Draw a circle of radius 3.2cm.
4. Draw an angle of 152̊ and divide it into four equal parts and write the steps of construction.
5. Construct an angle  with the help of compass and write its construction steps
6.Draw an ∟ABC draw ∟ABC=∟DEF using compass
6.Give reasons for the following .

iii)               Asquare can be thought of as a special rhombus.
